Avoid botox near the brow area for at least 3 - 4 weeks before your appointment.
Avoid using Retinols/Retin-A or other anti-aging/acne creams, or serums containing acids as these will fade brows prematurely, please avoid them for 2 weeks before your appointment.
Do not have a chemical peel for at least 3 weeks before your appointment.
Do not wax, thread, pluck, tint or apply hair removal cream to the area at least 72 hours before your appointment. Please shape your brows before your appointment, but avoid doing this within the 72 hour period before.
Do take your patch test as instructed by your technician, it is vital that this is performed at least 24-48 hours before your treatment. Inform your technician of the results of this patch test.
Please avoid caffeine, alcohol and blood thinning medication 48 hours before your appointment. Do not stop taking medication without consulting your doctor. Blood thinners will increase your likelihood of bleeding during the treatment, which will affect your overall retention.

Arrive at your appointment with no make-up near your brow area.
Clean your brows with a gentle cleanser before your appointment and do not apply any make-up to the area. Apply any creams your technician has given you according to their instructions.
Your appointment will take up to 2 hours, so it is advised that you wear comfortable clothes. You will be lying down during most of the treatment. Please do not bring children with you to your appointment as the area is unsuitable for under 18's.
Full payment (minus any deposit) is to be made on the day of your appointment via cash or bank transfer.
Proper aftercare following your microblading/powder brow procedure is necessary to achieve the best results. Keep in mind that in all cases, some unevenness of colour is to be expected. This is the purpose of the re-touch, or ‘top-up’ visit. Please review the following directions and refer to them as necessary. If during the healing process you have any questions or concerns, please contact me.
Flaking
Tenderness
Dryness and itchiness in the treated area
Swelling and redness
Please note, your brows will fade up to 80% after your first session, this occurs throughout the healing process and is to be expected. You will likely experience scabbing as they heal and these scabs will fall of naturally, do not pick these scabs as you will take the pigment off with this. This will cause unevenness of colour during your healing process. This is to be expected.
Always wash your hands before applying any aftercare healing balm. Apply a minimum of 2 times daily, using a cotton bud.
Prevent cross-contamination of your healing balm by using a clean cotton bud for each application.
I recommend using a very gentle facial cleanser to clean the face during the healing period.
Never use exfoliator on your brows during the healing process.
Keep your hair away from your brows to prevent any infection and avoid getting shampoo and conditioner on them for the first 2 weeks.
Some itching is normal. Do not pick, peel or scratch your brows as this will cause the colour to heal unevenly and you risk scarring and infection. Allow the wound to flake on its own.
No makeup should be applied for at least 72 hours after the procedure and avoid wearing brow makeup for up 7-14 days.

Your selected colour will be stronger and more sharply defined immediately after treatment but as the healing process occurs the colour will soften and lighten. It is possible to lose 50-85% of the colour after your first visit. On some occasions, a second top-up is required within 12 weeks of your first appointment, this is chargeable at £65.
Use a good sunscreen. Sun exposure will fade your permanent cosmetics.
If you are planning a chemical peel, MRI scan or other medical procedure, please inform your doctor of your permanent cosmetics.
Please inform the National Blood Service if you donate blood, as you may not be eligible to give blood for a year post-procedure.
